OUR HISTORY

AE Driver Training & Recruitment Ltd was formed in 2014 by business partners Elaine Harries and Syed Ziaullah, the Directors of Northampton based logistics firm Action Express with two main objectives:

  • To offer a complete driver training package at a competitive price to local businesses who wanted to provide training to existing and new members of staff.
  • To offer first class fully funded training to individuals wishing to pursue a career in logistics but who were prevented from doing so because of the cost.

With changes in driver legislation during 2014 and the well documented issue of an ageing workforce this has caused a real shortage of driver availability.  Many transport businesses including us were left with no option but to turn to specific driver agencies to assist with the daily client demand, sadly however our experiences with several agencies resulted in numerous issues such as driver no shows and drivers turning up without Digi cards.  We also suffered a substantial increase in accidents and price hikes around peak periods of trading such as Christmas.

We decided we had to take action, so during the summer of 2014 and decided to create our own driver training agency, AE Driver Training and Recruitment Ltd.  With over 40 years combined experience working in the logistics industry we thought who better to train reliable professional drivers than us.
